ALS, 1845 April 22 : [s.l.] to unknown recipient.

Two ALs on one leaf, concerning various matters relating to the publication of his "Report of the Exploring Expedition ..." Fremont writes: "Col. Benton desires me to say that he has no doubt Congress will pay for all plates engraved--Therefore let him go on with all you (have?) struck off, as many as you think necessary to secure the discoveries ..."

John Charles Frémont (January 21, 1813 – July 13, 1890) was an American explorer, military officer, and politician.
